Hi Willydoit,

I don't know how article manager works.

Does it send an email to everyone subscribed or just to specific individuals for approval, etc.?

For alerting individuals there are some interesting free plugins here on the forum that might get you going, like the ones in this post: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=77560

For a list, one idea might be incorporating RSS feeds in the design.

Best,

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for responding to my query,

In Article Manager you have the option in each user account to select tick boxes which send an alert email to that user whenever the conditions are met, ie a new article posted, an article deleted, article modified etc, all we would want to have happen is for the overall admin account to receive notifications each time a user updates or posts a listing in order that we can review the article without having to constantly check the site for any new articles.

Hope that clarifies.

Hi,

Although CMS Builder doesn't have this functionality by default, it can easily be accomplished through a custom plugin. In the plugin you could set conditions to only email certain people under certain circumstances. The benefit of doing this through CMS Builder as compared to article manager is that you can have the plugin send alerts when things happen in multiple sections, not just an "article" section. The plugin would also be available for use in other CMS Builder projects.

If you are interested in pursuing this option, please email consulting@interactivetools.com.

If, however, you are more comfortable with Article Manager, you can certainly use that instead.

Hope this helps
