Re: [weblinks] Moving ALL CMS BUILDER & PHP FILES TO NEW WEB HOSTING COMPANY

Hi Bob,

Sorry that email was lost.

I think the best thing to do would be to leave everything on your Earthlink Sever until we're sure that everything is working properly.

If you've created a database on your InMotion server, you can install CMS Builder on that server. (Note, you don't need to create all of the MySQL tables, as CMS Builder will do that for you.)

Make a backup of all of your data with CMS Builder. Then copy over all of your CMS Builder files to the new server.

Next (on your new server), go into cmsAdmin/data/settings.dat.php. There is a line that says "isInstalled=1". Change this to "insInstalled = 0" and then save the file. You can now install CMS Builder. Once it's installed, restore the backup that you made on your old server. You should now have all of the data that you had on the old server, on the new server.

As for the "require_once" code on the top of the .php files, you'll have to change this to reflect the path on the new server.

If need be, we can do this move for you through our consulting service.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
