Problems:
---------------------------------------------------------------
01. IMPORTANT: After exporting our database from our local PC phpMyAdmin and then importing our database to our Unix Server using phpMyAdmin only one table is being displayed within CMS Builder application. However, ALL of the tables are displayed within phpMyAdmin 9both locally and on the web server)? The table that is displayed within cmsBuilder is the user_accounts table. We even changed, modified a user on the Local PC then exported the database and re-imported to our web server via phpMyAdmin and all the tables are there with the updated information. We then logged into cmsBuilder and still only the ONE table (or section - user_accounts) is displayed along with the updated information for that table.

We added a section with cmsBuilder from our web server, then exported the database via phpMyAdmin (from our web server) and then imported it to our local PC and both cmsBuilder and phpMyAdmin sees the changes. It's only on our web server that cmsBuilder is NOT seeing all the tables for this database.

If we create a section on our web server the database and cmsBuilder sees the information. But we cannot not always build websites from our web server. If phpMyAdmin is seeing all the tables and their data it's got to be something with cmsBuilder? Yet, then why does cmsBuilder function, but only displays ONE table of information from the imported database?

---------------------------------------------------------------
02. We are periodically experiencing an error page message stating "Couldn't Find table!" after saving sections within a Group Menu while using the cmsBuilder v1.36 application. We have to close the browser and reopening the cmsBuilder application. We did reboot the PC just to clear it's paging file and such. Still occurs every now and then.

PLEASE NOTE:
- When using v1.36 CMS Builder on a “local machine” we are using win wamp with phpMyAdmin.
- We are running different version of phpMyAdmin (local machine is newer than web server). However, we have made the compatible MySQL file to match the web server version as a second test, still same problem. Again, if cmsBuilder is displaying the one table (section) for the website it must be recognizing the database.

Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

Hi studio-a,

Let's start with the missing tables problem.

Make sure you've copied your schema files from /cmsAdmin/data/schema/ on your local server to the same folder on your unix server.

If that doesn't fix it, check if the unix and local servers are using different table prefixes (Displayed under: Admin > General > Database Settings).

Let me know what you find out.

[font "Calibri"]Hi Dave,
[font "Calibri"]
After reading your reply we realized we did not transfer those files; problem solved. I guess the new features (Group Menus) and such deferred our attention - nice feature! Out of curiosity, should members send their questions to the forum or interactivetools.com support? We received a FAST response from you within the forum yet have not heard anything from sending a support ticket (although it’s only been a day).

As for the error message (“Couldn’t Find Table!”) when saving sections within a Group Menu please let us know your feedback.

Thanks for your help.

Hi there!

Generally, you'll always want to post to the forums first -- as you noticed, response time can be a bit faster, especially since some of our other users might be able to answer questions as well.

You also don't want to send in an email AND a forum post, as having multiple people working on one problem can cause a lot of confusion.

If we can't figure it out from a forum post, we'll ask you to send us an email at that point so we can take a closer look. :)

Re: Couldn’t Find Table! Error

I haven't heard of that one before. Is it easy to reproduce or does it just happen once in a while? And is the server a windows server or slower than usual?

It looks like that error is from /cmsAdmin/lib/menus/database/editTable_functions.php

Let me know on the above questions and also the name of the table. It should be in the URL when you get the error like this: ?menu=database&action=editTable&tableName=news

Ok, glad to hear it's not a problem anymore.

Let me know if it comes up again. I've added the tablename to that error message to help make it easier to debug if it comes up again.

Thanks!
