turning off hourly back-up

Hello guys!

As you all know, we have a very large database and are having some issues with speed. And if the backups are happening every hour, what are the chances that the backups are not finished within that hour and are screwing the whole process up?

One of the solutions we would like to try it to cut down on our hourly backups. I have read the other posts about the auto back up but I want to know if it is possible to "turn off" the hourly backups but keep the daily, weekly and monthly.

I know that the backup runs when a viewer page or admin is hit. And we cannot control when users come to our page. But are we able to setup the backups to take place during non-peak hours, for example 3 am?

Thanks for all of your help!

Hi,

By default, the autobackup plugin will do a backup each hour, however, we could easily customize this to not. It is important to note that the autobackup will ONLY backup your CMS Builder MySQL Database. It won't backup any of your .php files/images/etc. The backups don't take long to perform, so you don't have to worry about a backup still running into another backup starting.

As for setting a specific time for the backup to run, this is something that we could customize for you. If you're interested in this, please email consulting@interactivetools.com

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
