Is this in the pipeline to be added to CMSB?
There's a Google update coming in May which threatens to use next gen images as a ranking factor so we're getting a lot of enquiries about support for it.

Just an update on this for anyone following, we're working on webp support now for uploads so that should be in the release after the current beta.
