Increase character length of Info2 field

I am trying to increase the maxlength on the info2 field by updating the uploadModify.php file but everytime I do the change that is recommended I get the error message: MySQL Error: Data too long for column 'info2' at row 1, I need to use the Info2 field because I am using the image upload function for a carousel that has longer captions over the images.
