Hi,

If you are typing the date in manually to a text field, it is being sorted alphanumerically. Also, if the date isn't entered in a consistent date format, this could cause issues.

The best way to handle and sort dates correctly is to use a date/time field type and then sort on that.

Let me know if need more details and if this will work for you.

Thanks!

Speaking of date formats, it would be great if we could choose the ISO format yyyy-mm-dd

Where were you wanting to see this date format: the frontend, section editor index page or section editor modfiy page?

Front end is not a problem as that is easily controlled. Backend is what I was referring to and it matches the default for MySQL as well.

I was actually referring to the General Settings option for date format.

Hi Jeff,

The Date Field Format default option sets date to be YYYY-MM-DD in the Section Editor Index page. It doesn't change the date format that is entered on the create/edit record page. That stays as MM-DD-YYYY. I will add this to the update list for CMS Builder.
