Hello,

I'm trying to set a default or selected option in a pulldown list inside the cmsAdmin. Basically, I have a list of five options and I want the first option in the list to be preselected in the dropdown (NOT the default "<select>"). See the attached image.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!
Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes, you can have a default value in your dropdown list.  To do this, add Showing to the Default Value field and it will be the default that appears in the dropdown.

Let me know if that works for you.

Hi,

Can you please explain the "add Showing to the Default Value field" please.

i cannot sorted out this Default value set up. I tried to set the Default value field with the value 1 in my case where the values are:

1|Yes
2|No
3|Maybe
4|Never

I want to set up the default value to be 1 in the cmsb for the user.

Please advise,
Karls

Simply put the desired choice value in the Default Value field.

See attached screenshot.
