scroll bars missing in chrome

Chrome Version 33.0.1750.154 m,
CMSB 2.53 (Build 1040)
Strange. On my home pc, I just noticed that on long list views in CMSB, there are no scroll bars. I have to use the mouse wheel to scroll all the records. Other web pages seem to work fine. This is a newer PC and I'm not sure if I have ever viewed a long list in CMSB on it before.
I checked in the latest IE and the scrollbars appear fine.
Any ideas to fix this?

I've done some testing in Chrome in Windows 7, but was unable to replicate the issue.
But having said that Chrome has had issues with their new scroll bar system on recent releases of the browser:

Are you using any plugins on your version of Chrome that could possibly be affecting scrolling? Have you noticed this issue on any other sites?

Oh my. Thanks for the tip. I didn't notice the problem on any other site but I had read about the Chrome scrollbar and Google recommended trying some extensions which lead me to install this extension at some point that I forgot about:

I don't even remember why I specifically wanted the extension but that was the problem.
