Hi Keith_s,
Here’s some information from my CMSB Cookbook http://www.thecmsbcookbook.com that might help.
match - an exact match
keyword - will look for specific words
prefix - starts with keyword (or letter)
query - allows google-style query searches such as: +dog -cat "multi word phrase". Only records matching EVERY word or quoted phrase are returned. Words or phrases that start with - mean "must not match". The + is optional and not required.
fieldname_empty Matches blank fields Matches fields that are blank (""). Example: email_empty=1
min - A minimum value for numeric searches
max - A maximum value for numeric searches
year year number for date searches
month - month number for date searches
day - Day of month for date searches
Don’t forget that each search set ( Label|FieldList|searchType) needs to be on a separate line to create multiple search boxes.
Simple searches only use the first search set.
Advanced searches are filtered cumulatively (must match criteria 1 and criteria 2 and ...)
Hope that helps,
Jerry Kornbluth
