jQuery upgrade

Hello,
I want to implement some jQuery plugin to the CMSB admin area (better lightbox and notifications) that i will trigger from custom scripts.
Can i upgrade the default jquery1.4.1.js to jQuery 1.7.2+.
Is any known conflict with the CMSB?

Hi,
There are no known conflicts with using a later versions of jQuery. I would try to upgrade as few versions as possible, if the plugin you plan to use requires version 1.7.2, I would upgrade to that version. In later versions a few functions from version 1.4.1 start to become depricated. For example the live function:
