Please help!

Our hosting provider is upgrading their servers from PHP verion 5.2 to PHP version 5.3. We have around 20 sites using various versions of CMS Builder, Article Manager, and even a couple using Page Publisher (really old I know). I am concerned that these sites might break.

Can you please let me know what older/legacy versions of the software mentioned may be affected, and how we can avoid this?

Thanks,
Carrie

Hi Carrie,

Page publisher and article manager are both built on Perl/CGI scripts, so you shouldn't have any issues with them and CMS Builder has been tested on the latest on the latest version of PHP, so that should be fine as well.

I would recommend carrying out a backup before any upgrade, I would check that your hosting provider will be doing this before the upgrade.

Let me know if you do have any issues after the upgrade.

Thanks!

Thanks Greg.

Can you please clarify which versions of CMS builder have been tested on the latest PHP version? i.e. what is the earliest version you have tested with?

Cheers,
Carrie

Hi Carrie,

We've tested any version of CMS Builder that is later than 2.00 with version 5.4 of PHP.

Thanks
