Our web site here : http://www.rscf.org.tw/site/index.php

Got the error :
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Website Visitors!
We are temporarily experiencing high website traffic or technical difficulties. Please bookmark this page[/#ee0000] and come back later.

Do you run this website?
We were unable to connect to the database, possibly because:
 1. Your database settings are incorrect (check in /data/settings.dat.php)
 2. Your database server is down or overloaded (check with your host)

The database error given was:
Access denied for user 'ehosttw_rscf'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our site is localated in HostMonster. HostMonster said that is the Application problem. not the server error.

I tried to study forum about the issue. change the "settings.dat.php" localhost to our IP. It not working.

Hope can got help asap!

Thanks!

Jacgo

Hi Jacgo,

Dave wrote a simple mysql test script that should help determine if you can even connect to the database.

http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=90033#90033

Download the mysql_connections_test.php file and enter your database details (hostname, username and password).

Then upload it to your server and view the file in a browser.

Let us know what the results are.

Thanks!

Hi Damon

I had filled our mysql info and uploaded the file "mysql_connections_test.php" to our server.

Our other site also build by cmsBuilder. The site is fine.

I asked the 2nd Level Support and fill our site information in detail. Hope can get some help.

Thanks!!

Hi,

I have the MySQL test script working now. The error message is:

Program was unable to connect to the MySQL on 'localhost'. The reason given was: Access denied for user.......etc

I will email you with more details about what to send to your host to demonstrate that you aren't able to connect to the database.

It looks like either the username has changed or permissions have been removed.

Hi,

You shouldn't need to create a new database but just give the current database user full permissions or create a new user that has access to that database with full permissions.

Can the host help with this?
