Hello All,

We've just released a new plugin called Geocoder:

This plugin allows you to display single or multiple addresses on a Google map, automatically geocode addresses in CMS and PHP forms, and create search forms that search and sort by distance (eg: show all results within 10 miles of my postal code).

We've used this plugin (and earlier versions) on over a half dozen sites with a lot of success. We're been able to cut many hours off our development time and allow even junior developers to easily implement advance distance searching features.

Dave ...

I purchased the Geocoder plugin and am trying to install it. Your readme file does not say which file(s) need to be installed in the /plugins folder. I assume that only geocoder.php needs copied over to do the basic activation, but I get an error as follows:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function createschemafromfile() in /hsphere/local/home/c305987/mmincdata.org/cmsAdmin/plugins/geocoder/geocoder.php on line 229

Any clues as to what I did or didn't do?

By the way, your purchase and checkout procedure seems to be a lot more streamlined now!

Hi Ron,

Upload the entire geocoder folder that you downloaded to the plugins folder. After that, refresh your plugins page and try reactivating it.

Jason ...

I removed it from the /plugins folder, went into admin and refreshed all, then re-uploaded the entire folder to the /plugins folder. Now, I can't even start the admin ... get the same error on 3 different browsers.

Hi Ron,

What probably happened was the plugin wasn't deactivated before you removed the file. If you were just using geocoder.php in the plugin folder this is what you should do:
1) re-upload geocoder.php to the plugin folder.
2) reresh the admin
3) deactivate geocoder from the plugin menu
4) remove geocoder.php from the plugin folder, only leaving the entire geocoder folder you uploaded.
5) refresh the plugin page again
6) activate the geocoder plugin.

This should take care of the issue for you.

Well, I have tried every combination of removal, refresh, whatever and the fact is, once I re-upload anything to the plugins folder, I cannot start the admin. I get the error immediately upon login. When I remove it from the folder, I can log in and the plugin does not appear ... neither active or inactive.

It is out of sync somehow. Can I send you the FTP info and admin login to your personal email?

Thanks for your excellent support. You were correct, I did not have the latest library files. I uploaded the latest V2.06 and it seems that all is well.
