Specify which sections each user (writer) can update

Hidden option lets you hide content that's still in progress - then set as live to instantly make it public.

Publish Start Date lets you queue up content to automatically go live on the specified date.

These are mostly features that are added into any one section by adding one of the following "field names":

neverRemove (check box)
publishDate (date)
removeDate (date)
hidden (check box)

Please note that simply adding these to the "field labels" will automatically change the capitalization of the letters in the "field names" so you will need to make sure that the "field names" are correct when adding them or they will not work.

User settings changed in the "User Accounts" section.
By default when a new user is added the settings are set to none for everything.

Look under : Section Access (near bottom)

All Sections - Access - "NONE"
You can change this to be set "By Section" and then you can set the access level for each section.

Access Levels:
None - Don't allow user to access this section

Author - User can only access records they have created
(note that new users will see no content to work on because they have not created anything yet. They can only work on new items added by their selves)

Editor - User can access any records in this section
Max Records: Max records user is allowed to create (for regular users only - leave blank for unlimited)

Hope this helps,
