Is there a way to add the date field to the custom search editors so I can search articles by the date in the backend? I tried it but it didn't seem to work so I am not sure if I set it up correctly. I am using the date/time field and my table is called date. Note: I am only using the date not the time.

Thanks!
April

Hi April,

In the Section Editor under the Searching tab, try adding this:
Keyword|title, summary|query
Date|date|query

This will create a date field that you can enter a year to display records matching that year (ex. 2008).
To match records from a year and month, enter year-month (ex. 2009-09)

As I was testing this out to write this reply, I discovered that the some of the search types (year, month and day) are not working as intended. I will get them added to be fixed for an upcoming release.

I hope that helps. :)

Do you all have any idea when the search feature may be added/fixed in an upcoming release? My client really needs the date search feature in the backend when updating articles. Is there any other way in the meantime to add it or be able to search by month or year?

Thanks!

April

Hi April,

When I setup an advanced search field like this:
Date|date|query

I'm able to search for dates like this YYYY-MM

Is there another way you are trying to search or what results are you getting?
