Standard Search

Here's something I have noticed with the standard search.

In the CMS itself:

Let's say you have 200 records, so you have multiple pages. If you are on page 2 and you search for something that is not displayed on page 2 (it's on page 1), it will come back "Sorry, the search returned no results!"

Let's say I have a staff directory with 200 records. I am clicking "next page" until I get to page 3. I give up looking and type in the name "Garcia" and I get "Sorry, the search returned no results!"

I click back to page 2 and all the Garcias show up.

If I had done this from page 1, it would have worked great.

So in short, the search field is not searching backwards - only forwards.

Thanks,

Kenny

Hi Kenny.

Thanks for posting!

That's definitely an odd one. Could you post me a link to the page so I can take a closer look. If you could also attach a copy of the page so I can see the code, that would be even better.

Thanks!

I've fixed this for the next release. What we'll do is have it reset the page number to 1 when a new search is performed.

Thanks! Let me know if you spot anything else!
