Â Keeps appearing in text

I'm having trouble with the Â continually appearing in my text.

I've tried pasting into Notepad, and then copy/pasting it back into CMSB, but it keeps appearing, particularly before the £ symbol.

Make sure you are using the right character set -

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8" />

It must be utf-8

I agree with sagentic on this one. Check the encoding of your page and see where that gets you to.

For some reason I had windows-1252 as the character set
