List and Detail Page Url error

I am attempting to get my news page to list headers only with links to articles. While I have got the list to work, the "_link : [url "http://midislandcastaways.com/news/newsDetail.php?11"]/news/newsDetail.php?11[/#800080][/url]" does not provide the article (404 Not Found). The link goes to http://clientsite.com/news/newsDetail.php?11 . Can you give me a hint as to how I get a multiple menu type to list the articles with a correct detailed article link.

Hi CJ,
Have you created a page which contains the Detail Page code, saved it as "newsDetail.php" and uploaded it to the news folder on your server?

Now I understand ... yes I have developed two pages in the /news/ directory and played around abit. I see how this works now.
