Don't replace spaces with underscores on upload

Hello! I was wondering if there was any way to keep spaces in a file name when uploading instead of having them converted to underscores. This is because an audio player we are using automatically generates it's file list and display information based on the name of the audio file. So, it ends up looking very distracting to see all the underscores when the song title is scrolling by or when displayed in the song list. I understand why it is better to have that feature. However, it would be great if it was an option that could be turned off on a page by page basis. Maybe you already can and I missed it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jeremy,

There's no easy way to do that, no. Does your audio player allow you to specify any other fields besides just a filename? If so you could display the caption instead?

Dave,

Thanks for the response! Yeah, I figured as much. I was playing around with the idea with trying to access the information supplied with the upload (in our case "title, artist, date". I'll try this. Another option is if I can tell the audio player to replace the underscores with spaces. This also seems promising. I'll report back.
