Is there any information about integrating CMS Builder into an existing site?

I followed the instructions on the video and tried to paste the code into my existing site like it showed, but it blew my whole site out of wack. With Page Publisher, there were instructions about where to code. With this, I am at a total loss. I cannot figure out how to get CMS Builder to work with my site, nor can I find any information that mentions much about it. Please help!

April,

Welcome to the CMS Builder forum! :) Don't worry, we're here to help!

Are you able to post the url of the page you're trying to recreate with CMS Builder and your test page?

Start with a test page first, don't update any live pages until we know it's all working right. When you save the "viewer" code as a .php file, does that work?

Let me know and we'll figure it out from there.

Thanks for responding, Dave!

here's the URL to a test page:
http://memorykeepersmedia.com/Untitled-1.php

I'm only getting it to somewhat work like that. When I originally saved it as a html file, it really didn't work. I uploaded an image just to go ahead and test that out and the image shows up when I open the file from the server, but when I try from the "visitor end" the image doesn't work.

Ok, that's looking ok, and what's the url of the page or section you want to add the CMS to?

One thing to keep in mind is you need to use .php extensions with the viewers, not .html or it won't work. If for some other reason you need to use .html you can sometimes include the .php viewers with SSIs. The simplest is just to give the files a .php extension though.

Let me know which page you want to add the CMS to and I'll walk you through it.

ok, Dave, I'm getting some of it now. I've figured out how to go into the code and get rid of some parts I don't want, and I get the whole changing the files to .php now. I was able to somewhat successfully add content to this page: http://memorykeepersmedia.com/video.php

I think the main issue that I'm having now is that I am uploading and adding images into the wysiwyg editor and they are not showing up when i go to view the page. If I view the page from server, it shows up, and the images are in the uploads folder.

I just want to make sure that this is something that I can set up and then turn over to my clients so they can easily work on their sites.

thanks for all of your help so far :-)

Do you have a link to a page with uploaded images that aren't showing up? Is the image tag in the source of the page generated by the viewer?

I can help you track that down and get it working.

Sure, I can login and have a look if you like. Just email me your CMS Builder login details and the url of the viewer where the images are not showing up (email only - don't post login details in forum).

For the most part, if you're logging in and viewing the site through the same url (http://memorykeepersmedia.com/) it should be fine. The only way I can imagine it creating an url like that was if you had a setup where you'd login from an url like (http://www.mywebsites.com/memorykeepersmedia.com/).

Anyways, feel free to email some login details and I can take a look and sort it out.
