files arent deleted from server?

I was in an upload editor and chose a picture but eventually canceled out. There was no addition to the editor but a picture still uploads to the server. This should have been deleted.
I'm wondering if there other situations like if you delete an editor or something else that leaves files on the server. This could be a huge problem with many files and a couple of years go by.

Hi Rez,
They should be automatically deleted (after 1 day) the next time you upload files.
The reason it works like this is that when adding a record we can't assign the uploads to it until it is saved. So we store them for up to 1 day and delete "expired" uploads at that point that haven't been assigned to a record.
