Hi Guys.

Now that we have the membership plugin and the favorites plugin, email download plugin etc, I was thinking it would be worthwhile having a "Basic Social Template" as well as your basic listings etc.

The tempalte could include a "My Dashboard" kind of page that has all the edit profile, upload avatar, my favourites, wink / wave / block etc

Possibly a basic my messages so members can send messages to each other, and the administrator could send a message to all members

Possibly a "watched categories" etc

Possibly a "my email" which collect emails via the email downloads plugin

Any thoughts?

a dream come true.

we are building many portals now and cmsb is great for presenting a small demo. if it had simple (i know not easy to make) modules for member users like

comment system
internal messages
internal chat
personal file management.
share files. or articles.

and a little more powerful users and groups that would mean the world to us.

now we look at socialengine, wordpress 3, sharematrix(cool) and expression engine.

i hope they surprise us with the next release.

I didn't mean to ask for anything "new" here, just a collection of all the little bits and pieces into a pre-packaged template.

If some of these things require custom programming as new development - then I'd be happy to contribute as long as it's portable to other sites.
