SEO Friendly URLs

I've waded thru the forum for a SIMPLE guide on how to easily implement SEO Friendly URLs, but there doesn't seem to be anything that explains it from scratch.  For example, I need to change a page to read
- from:  http://www.activetravel.com.au/escorted.php?Kasbahs-and-Deserts-of-Morocco-24

- to:  http://www.activetravel.com.au/escorted-tours/Kasbahs-and-Deserts-of-Morocco

- the" Kasbahs-and-Deserts-of-Morocco" is the tour_name

Is this possible and if so, any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

You can get something very similar to what you have in the post above using htaccess. Zaba wrote a great post a few weeks ago that explains how to do it:

With your code this would give you a URL of:

http://www.activetravel.com.au/escorted/Kasbahs-and-Deserts-of-Morocco/24

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Greg
