Rotating Flash and Corresponding text...

CMS Builder can drive slideshows like that without a plugin, with the text and images editable by your client. From looking at the source, the slideshow on the right is a JavaScript widget called Noobslide.

There are lots of gorgeous JavaScript and Flash widgets that you can integrate into your site. Most of them are free, and most of them can be driven with CMS Builder. If you find one that can't be driven by CMS Builder, you can probably find something very similar which can.

Here's how to integrate a widget, once you've decided which one you want to use:

1. Build a working example page with the widget, but without your CMS Builder content (just drop in fake content for now.)

2. Build a CMS Builder viewer page to generate the real content that you want to put in the widget, but without the widget (i.e. a plain, boring-looking list page is perfect.)

3. Finally, integrate the two pages. That last step can sometimes require some tricky PHP, but we're always here to help in the forums. If you can provide us with the source code for the first two pages above, we can usually come up with this third page in no time!

From there, you can style up the final page, or even integrate it into another of your pages with more widgets!

Thanks! I looked up Noobslide and found a 'how to' on it.

I'm not sure where to post this next question. I'm new to Interactive Tools and am building a site that will then need CMS Builder in certain places where the client will edit content. I've made a Template of the homepage in Dreamweaver and then an index.html page from that template. I'm afraid I don't know .php at all. Is this the right way to be building pages for you all? I'm not really sure of the process. Maybe you have a pdf guide I should follow?

It sounds like you're off to a good start. Don't worry if you don't have any PHP experience, we have a code generator inside the software to help you out.

The first thing you'll need to do is change the file extension of your file from .html to .php.

After that, you can use the code generator in cms builder to create the php code you'll need to output your content. You can copy and paste this code directly into your template.
