Hi all,

apologies if this is a basic question but although we use cms builder on a number of sites we only use the basics and my php knowledge is nil. At the moment one of our sites uses cmsb to provide basic accommodation listings http://www.bridlington.net/listings/serviced_list.php?accommodation_type=Guest%20House as an example. I was wondering if it was possible to have these listings produced as an rss feed which could then be incorporated into a facebook fanpage tab so that facebook visitors could click the tab and get a list of all our advertisers without leaving facebook.

I dont know if this is a) possible or b)if possible how that would affect links from the listings to the main data page if viewed via facebook c)if it would work on mobile devices.

I would be interested in knowing if it is possible, and if anyone has achieved this and whether it can be achieved with a minimum of cmsb or php knowledge.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Hi,

Yes, you should be able to do this. First you will need to create your RSS feed on your server. If you have version 2.15, there is a RSS feed option in the code generator that can help you.

After this is done, you will need to post this to facebook. I haven't tried this myself, but found this article about it:

Clicking on any link inside the RSS feed will navigate the user away from facebook.

Hope this helps get you started,
