Re: [zip222] multiSearch.php Question

Hi,

I did a little research and found the thread from when we last had this problem. The issue we found was that on of the fields being searched on was not a string (in that case, it was a date field). This caused the search query to treat all the data being search on as a binary string, which made it case sensitive. I took a look in your code and didn't see anything that what was obviously not string data, but this is the most likely cause. The login information we had from that time no longer works, so I can't investigate further.

If you could email in login details (CMS and FTP) to support@interactivetools.com, we can take a quick look and let you know what we find

Thanks

Hi,

I took a look through the sections you were searching and found the problem. The issue was in roots_list where you were searching "search_keywords". In this section, search_keywords was set up as a checkbox, which is stored as a number (1 or 0). This was messing up the search. I changed this field to a text box, and the search now works as expected.

Hope this helps.
