I am using CMS Builder to upload images and this is working fine but does anyone know how to convert the image thumb so that it shows in greyscale?

Hi John,
There's no automated way to do that. You could try looking into CSS options. Here's some links:

I'm not sure how cross-browser those are but it's probably worth a look.
