Field Permissions

Listing Manager Suggestion. I would like to open up the listing manager to allow for my clients to modify their account info. However, there are some fields that are Administrator sensitive. It would be nice if I could specify field permissions in the Setup Listing Field so that Regular Users could not view or edit certain fields. Thanks, Frank Beier Dynamic Webs, LLC

Hi Frank Thanks for posting! This is definitely going on the list as I can see many different situations that this would be useful in. I was actually looking at this in a separate forum thread a couple weeks ago and OtownAutos was kind enough to lend a hand. He used some JavaScript variables to control which fields show up. From the sounds of it, I think this will be a good work around for the meantime. You can check that thread out here: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=40813#40813 If you had any questions about that code, feel free to post your questions to that thread . ----------------------------------------------------------- Cheers, Ross Fairbairn - Product Specialist support@interactivetools.com
