Couple RM Suggestions

I just installed RM for another client recently and they've suggested a couple interesting features. 1) The ability to "hide" listings. She said there are many times they need to pull a listing from the website but put it back later (ie, a house goes off the market and they re-list it). It would be nice to simply have a check box that turns that record ON or OFF so they don't have to delete it and then rebuild it from scratch. Would also help them add a listing ahead of time without people seeing it too soon. Seems like it would be simple. 2) Multiple choices for listing fields. Apparently, there are lots of situations where multiple choices may be necessary for things like: Construction = Brick, Vinyl Fireplace = 2, Woodburning, Gas AC = Central Air, Window Again, this seems like it would be a simple thing to do. I know in PHP you could just read those selections into an array and parse them out as a comma separated list in the output. Perl shouldn't be too much different. Thoughts?

Hi AJ! Thanks for your suggestions. :) However... both of these are already totally possible in Realty Manager. The ability to hide listings was added in version 2.29 in May either by listing or by user. Each listing has a checkbox at the top of the screen that says "Hide Listing - Don't display this listing on website." If you check that, the listing won't be published online, but will still be available in the database. The ability for multiple checkboxes has been available since the beginning of Realty Manager. To set that up, go into the Setup Options and choose Setup Listings Field. Setup the field like this: Construction (Brick,Vinyl) and choose "Checkbox" as the type. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. :) Donna
