AM: Renaming images

You may want to have AM rename the images on upload. I just noticed that it keeps the same name of the file when you upload. This can be a problem down the road if someone tries to upload an image with the same name. May want to think about changing it to a number, like 1248398339.gif (jpg, png, etc), where the number changes with every upload. Bryan Gilchrist

Hi Bryan! Thanks for your suggestion. :) However, Article Manager already has functionality in place to deal with this happening. Initially, a file will keep it's original filename. However, if the filename already exists, it doesn't overwrite the original file, it renames the new one by adding _001, _002, _003 and so on to the new file. So, if I were to upload 3 copies of interactivetools.gif, I'd wind up with interactivetools.gif, ininteractivetools_001.gif and interactivetools_002.gif I hope this helps! :) Donna
