Menu Can't Post
Hi!

Just wondering. I want to have an 'old style menu' on DocBuilder. I am running the latest release.

I want to have the parent page bold, the child page roman (regular). (Like IT's docs, actually.)

I have renamed the old menu template, but I can not see any clues in the script.

Any hints on how I can make this work?

Hi Hub,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm looking into this for you. I had a look at the "old style" template and since it's using the same template cell for every link in the menu (parent and child), I'm not too sure how to set this up so that the parent links are bold and the child links are not... Though I'm thinking that this is done with JavaScript.

I will find out who setup our online documentation in such a way and then get the instructions on exactly how it's done so that I can pass them along to you.

In the meantime, let me know if you have any other questions or comments. :)

Well, it would be great if you could code some javascript.

I have solved this issue temporarily by puting html-codes in the text, so:

<b>Page Subject</b>

this works.

You could even use other html, like color, italic etcetera.

Why don't you integrate htmlearea in this part of the program?

Hi Hub,

I know that Mike is still looking into that Javascript for you, but I just wanted to let you know that the htmlArea is included in the DocBuilder program, all you need to do is turn it on Smile

Just log into the Administration Program --> Setup Options --> General Options tab. The 9th item from the top of the page is Use WYSIWYG Editor. All you need to do is choose Yes, and then save your options. Here is the link to the online documentation for using the WYSIWYG editor in DocBuilder:

Hey Hub,

I might be misunderstanding the problem, but to make your document menu look like our online doc, you can just manually set each parent page link as bold directly through the interface. To do this, in your Document Manager, just click modify for those pages you want to be bold (i.e. all the parent windows) and under "Settings", check the "bold" checkbox. That, in conjunction with the old style menu template should make your online doc look like ours in this respect.
