Issue 079 - May 13, 2008

1. Special - Huge discounts on all products (1 week only)
Special - Huge discounts on all products (1 week only) For just one week you'll be able to purchase any of our products at prices normally only available to our biggest customers. Usually you would have to buy 5 or 12 licenses to get anywhere close to these kind of discounts. You can now save $100 on Listings Manager or $150 off Article Manager. You can even save a massive $160 on your next purchase of CMS Builder. (To find out why we're having these huge discounts read the next section.)

Special Prices until May 21st

CMS Builder $299.95 $139.95 Order
Article Manager $349.97 $199.95 Order
Listings Manager $299.95 $199.95 Order

These specials are available for one week only. If you would like to place your order or have any questions, you can always give us a call (toll free 1-800-752-0455), send an email (sales@interactivetools.com), post your questions in the forum, or message us through live chat.
2. Good Prices for a Bad Economy
Good Prices for a Bad Economy So why the huge discounts?

We've been talking to many of you and you've been telling us that times are tight. With the way the economy's gone, many people who need websites are tightening up their budgets. We want to do everything we can to help you close those sales and make the services you offer even more attractive.

For one week only we're going to do a test sale with all three products (CMS Builder, Article Manager, and Listings Manager). You'll be able to purchase any product for prices normally only available if you were to purchase several licenses at once. If we find you prefer this pricing model, we'll continue to offer these discounts as the new price.

What happens to the Multi-Pack Discounts?

You can now purchase a single license and get roughly the same discount you would receive when purchasing a 5 or 12-pack. Because the discount on a single license will be so large there's no reason to continue with the multi-pack discount. Whether you want 1 or 20 licenses, you'll be able to get each license at the same great price.
3. Payment Plans Now Available
Payment Plans Now Available To make things even easier, we're introducing payment plans to replace subscriptions. You can now spread out your payments over 3 months.

A payment plan lets you minimize your up-front costs, such as when you've only received an initial deposit. If you're a web developer, your price sensitive clients can get up-and-running with our products at a minimum budget. For example, you can own your own license of CMS Builder for only three monthly payments of $51.31.

Payment Plan Prices
CMS Builder 3 payments of $51.31 Order
Article Manager 3 payments of $73.31 Order
Listings Manager 3 payments of $73.32 Order

To get started with a payment plan, simply visit our order page. As always, you can refund at any point.

4. CMS Builder 1.15 Released
CMS Builder 1.15 Released We just released v1.15 of CMS Builder, with some new features and many improvements and bug fixes.

  • Code Generator: New code generator form makes it easier to create different types of viewers without editing any code.
  • Section Editors > Admin Tab: New option to auto-hide listings from expired, disabled, or deleted users (for subscription and pay sites)
  • WYSIWYG: Word content is now automatically cleaned (IE) or popup appears on paste (non-IE browsers)
  • Field Editor: Added "Checked Value" and "Unchecked Value" to fields to checkboxes

For a full list of changes, visit the CMS Builder changelog or click here to upgrade by donation.

Keep your feature requests and bug reports coming in! Every single release we've done is packed full of user requested changes. Post to the forum or send us Dave an email to dave@interactivetools.com.

5. Developer Resources
Developer Resources Here are a couple of useful resources for web developers and designers. Send me an email with YOUR favourite resources - I might be able to feature them in a future newsletter.
jQuery Tutorial for Designers
jQuery is an extremely handy JavaScript library that allows you to do more with less code. In fact, we've even used a jQuery plug-ins in CMS Builder's interface. This article contains 10 tutorials intended for web designers and newbies. If you're looking to get your feet wet with jQuery this is a great place to start.

One of the plug-ins called "Accordion" was recently used by Djulia (a user from the interactivetools forums) to further customize CMS Builder's interface.

Easiest Tooltip and Image Preview Using jQuery
Another jQuery tutorial expaling how to integrate a very cool tooltip in just a few lines of code. Easily create a tooltip for your links, thumbnail images, and more.
