1. CMS Builder 2.15 released - new code generator
CMS Builder 2.15 released - new code generator

CMS Builder 2.15 is here! One of the coolest features of this latest release is the new code generator - it has been completely rewritten, making it easier than ever to generate code for instant publication. There are new code generator menus for combo Page, and RSS feeds, and enhancements that allow you to easily add custom generators through plugins.

There are lots of other minor changes including improvements to upload features, and new online documentation.

New Features Include:

  • Docs: Improved install and upgrade docs and added a page on moving servers (online docs).
  • Uploads: Upload file names are now saved in lower case for better cross platform compatibility.
  • Editors: Datepicker icon is now supported for edit search fields that use dates.
  • Fields: Related Records now support adding a "Create" button through the field editor.
  • Code Generator: Image tags generated with double-quotes for consistency.

3. Exploit Scanner 1.01 Released
Exploit Scanner 1.01 Released

Dave has created an awesome new standalone app, the Exploit Scanner, in response to increased requests for help restoring hacked websites. When your client's website gets hacked, it doesn't matter whether it's through an unpatched blog application left on the server by a former developer, or a vulnerable formmail script that came with the hosting package, they'll be looking to you to solve the problem.

Exploit Scanner has over 40 patterns for detecting known malware, in addition to using heuristics to find malicious code patterns. It quickly scans website folders and allows you identify modified files and detect hacks in advance.

Key Features Include:

  • Detects hacks and exploits in php, javascript, and htaccess files.
  • Detects known exploit software as well as coding patterns from unknown software.
  • Command-line version can scan unlimited folders and over half a million files an hour.
  • Ability to list recently modified files by modified date or inode change time.
  • Instant realtime report allows you to easily check and recheck for hacks and exploits.
  • Runs standalone as a single php file with no installation or other software required, just upload and run.

If you ever been asked to fix a hacked website, if you host sites, or even have an internal dev server, then Exploit Scanner is an absolute must have.
