My client's site, which is a couple of years old, is running CMSB v3.11, and they've noticed that the WYSIWYG fields aren't showing up (see attached).

The server is using PHP version 7.0.33.

Any suggestions, please?

Hi,

I know there have been upgrades to the wysiwyg code as well as all other areas of the core program.

It's fair to assume that the old code might not be compatible with some of the changes in PHP.

Is there a reason why you haven't upgraded your client's site since 2017?

The hosting company that my client is using has a habit of being a version or two behind with its PHP version. It's still on 7.0.33, whereas the most up-to-date version of CMSB requires 7.1+.

Thanks, Jerry. I've asked my client to contact their host and ask them to look into a PHP upgrade, which has been required for more up-to-date versions of CMSB since last year. They might as well do it now, otherwise we could be looking at this problem again in a year or so.

Hi CommonSenseDesign,

If you open the "Inspect" panel in Chrome (Ctrl-Shift-I), click on the "Console" tab, and reload the page that doesn't show the wysiwyg, does it show any javascript errors?
