Can anyone recommend a text-to-speech service I can add to my CMSB driven website, please?

Hi there.

Thanks for posting.

I don't have any experience with text-to-speech add-ons.

I typically see the text-to-speech service added at the client level though.  What I mean there is, the visitor's computer itself would have the text-to-speech service instead of your website.

Let's see if the community has any suggestions.

I was just reading this the other day: https://css-tricks.com/using-the-speech-synthesis-api-to-create-articulate-js/

I had a play around with it, but found the voice, although very customisable - not very enjoyable to listen to...

OK its only a shot in the dark but

https://translate.google.co.uk/#auto/en/hello%20how%20are%20you

if you click the little speaker on the right in the translated area, you get a voice stating what you have typed to translate, in this case i have translated english to english. Now were you able to kinda mess with this maybe you might be able to use it to your benefit. as i say I have not tried this, It is only a shot in the dark.
