Upgrade to MySQL v5.5?

Hi Guys
The host of one of my sites is saying that most software that says they require a certain version of MySQL don't "really" require it. Can you let me know if the latest CMSB will run on MySQL v5.1.73, and what will be lost by doing so?

Hi Tim,
We currently only require MySQL 5.0. So it will work just fine. In future we're going to require MySQL 5.5, no immediate plans to do that though.
Also note that MySQL 5.1 no longer get's patches and hasn't been updated since 2014: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MySQL#Versions
