Hi Kenny,

We almost always build our forms from scratch, and don't really use any systems to speed up the process. Although this is more time consuming than using an automated method, it does give us full control over all elements of the system.

We don't normally use captchas on our forms, here is a post I wrote about how you can deter spammers without using a captcha:

You could probably repurpose the demo code from that post into a contact form if you wanted. There is a PHP function you can use to capitalize the first letter of every word in a string  called ucwords, you can read how to use it here:

If you do want to use a captcha system, I highly recommend the Google reCaptcha system:

It's very easy to implement, free, and also very secure.

As building secure captcha system is very difficult, it's often better to trade off the level of control (choosing the number of letters, for example) for the extra security you get from a commercial system.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Greg,

I would prefer not having to make my own though. I can build a very impressive cms and site on the likes of Dreamweaver no problem but I now come to you guys for a cms as I want to be able to do things faster. The same goes for the contact form. I have checked out your links and am grateful.

But at the end of the day were others to be using a specific GUI type system to build contact email forms I would be grateful to know of such.

Have you looked at Forms-To-Go?  http://www.bebosoft.com/products/formstogo/overview/

I like it.  You still have to build the HTML file, but then it does the rest for you.  I use the php engine and am very happy with it.
