Hi CommonSenseDesign,

Can you check if the sections appear under: Admin > Section Editors?

If they do, edit your user account under "User Accounts" and set "All Sections" to have "Editor"

If not, let me know if the restore completes and shows a success message or if you get a white screen or error.

Hope that helps!  Let me know what happens.

Hi Nigel,

Hmm, ok there's a number of things we could check, starting with checking the source of the backup file to confirm it contains all the data.

Do you want to submit a support ticket and we can take a look for you? https://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support_form.php

Just reference this forum post URL.  Thanks,

Thanks. Will do.

By the way, the new web host has sorted out the 500 internal server error problem. When I go to http://mdldoorsystems.com/index.php, I'm now getting the message "getRecords(homepage): Couldn't load schema for 'homepage'!", which means the page template can't find the relevant section of CMSB, which isn't getting restored from the backup. That seems to be the only remaining problem.

The host's tech support sent me the following message: "I have updated the installation path in the index.php file and now the website at http://mdldoorsystems.com/ is loading with the notification:
'getRecords(homepage): Couldn't load schema for 'homepage'!'"

For anyone who has come up against the same problem, I'd neglected to copy the schema files to the new site. These are stored in cmsAdmin/data/schema on the live server.

According to Greg at Interactive Tools, "These files are needed by CMS Builder to create the sections before it can restore the data from a back up file. Once you have copied them across, you need to go to the section editors area in CMSB and the sections will be automatically restored."

Thanks to IT for their help in sorting this out.

Thanks for posting back with the update.

Also, make sure you didn't forget to download/upload any /upload/ folders as well.
