My client would like to add paid banner ads to her website. http://www.aubriericheson.com/portfolio.php

We're leaning towards the black area on the right - creating a single column of banner ads (approx 140px wide x 180px high)

Ideally, I would like something were she can control the duration of ads and post them up to the correct uls and I can create the banners for her but I have no idea where to start on this.

Hi there,

The easiest (and most common) way to do advertisements is to hook up with an existing advertising company, such as Google AdSense. That way, they handle all the hard work, and just give you some code to paste into your site.

If you're planning on running the advertising yourself, you could create a CMS Builder section with the date range, image upload, and url you want it to link to. Or, you could get a third party banner ad script to manage things like clickthroughs.

But I'd strongly recommend going with an existing company like Google AdSense to provide you with ads & ad revenue, as this saves you from having to worry about managing the advertisers directly. :)

Sounds good. I'll look into that and provide her with options. Thanks!
