Should be simple

15 categories

Writers submit article for one of the categories (does not publish)

Editors review article and publish

It would be nice if I could have a list of the most current articles published in all the categories

12 hours later I'm feeling really stupid [crazy]

Did you set each article to be "hidden" by default at the time of creation?

Where are the instructions on how to do that in your help docs?

How do I do that? I'm sure I'm going to be going through all the above setup features. I would be glad to assist in making this process easier for future customers.

I am an experienced (1995) web developer and I purchased your product because of the ability to embed in MY pages,

Your help and tutorial need to be taken to the next level!

So lets take the above scenario and take it step by step.

I will compile all your instructions and publish them here or anywhere else you would like me to.

Thanks for your timely response to my previous post

I think you will need to look at your section editor and using the special field names.

DOCUMENTATION: http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/cmsbuilder/special_fieldnames.html

Take a look at the documentation on this and get familiar with these fields. They will help you out a lot.

And if your still in a rut let us know.

So should I just create a section for each of my 15 categories which makes the writer input and control no problem but then I have to integrate with the menus.........mmmmmmmmmmm

My other topic got the author/editor privileges under control. Thanks

Instead of creating seperate sections in the admin for each category, what if you had a dropdown list on the article section that you could select your category from.

Then after you generate code and setup a published article index page, you could filter the articles by category with a query.

Would that work for you?
