Thumbnails in List Views

Just out of curiosity, is there a simple way to pick one of the auto-generated thumbnails from an uploaded image to show in the List View display? The default is the full image which can be quite large. I would be nice to show one of the smaller thumbs in the List View.

Hi InHouse,

There certainly is. Can you please post the PHP source code for the page that displays full images?
All the best,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you, but I think I wasn't clear in my question. I'd like to display the thumbnail in the Admin/backend List View, not the public pages. That I'm already very comfortable with.

Apologies for the ambiguity!

Hi InHouse,

You're talking about adding your upload field to the ListPage Fields (These fields are displayed on the editor list page (beside modify and erase)), right? (See attached screenshot.)

I believe the first thumbnail is used there. You could change the size of the first thumbnail, and update any pages that are using that thumbnail to use another instead.

Does that help? Please let me know if you have any more questions.
All the best,
Chris

Ah, first thumb! It would seem to me that if no thumb is created, then the full image is used. That would explain why I sometimes see large images and sometimes just the smaller ones. That should have twigged.

Okay, this is a bit of a workaround but certainly a manageable one.

Many thanks!
