PHP 4 to 5

Howdy,

We installed a CMS Builder site last spring, (version 1_09) on a server running PHP 4.4.9.

I'm getting ready to install a second website on that server using the latest CMS Builder version 1_22 (separate license, of course).

We have the option at this point to upgrade to PHP 5 on the server, and I'd like to do that first, just in case we'll be using future tools requiring that version.

Finally, the question: if we upgrade the server to PHP 5, will that affect the performance of the earlier installation of CMS Builder (v 1_09) which seems to be running fine on 4.4.9?

Many, many thanks.

Hi Matrix,

Thanks for your post. :)

Should be no problem at all -- CMS Builder runs just fine on PHP 5 (in fact, originally it ONLY ran on PHP 5.) If anything, it should improve the performance (or have no noticeable difference.)

I hope this helps. :)
