Dave, what if your scanner/checker matched the live urls against the CMSB generated urls? The only valid urls on that domain that would fail the test would be ones not generated by CMSB and you could eliminate that problem by having an approved additional URL list (inside CMSB). Just a thought.

We don't have a plugin for this yet. But for now you can use this sitemap generation tool:

http://enarion.net/tools/phpsitemapng/

The generated page can then be added as a link section in cmsb.

What we did with that one was to actually use the "inline iframe" menu link so the 3rd party app appeared fully integrated into the CMSB menu.

This is a great trick when you need to integrate two or more systems. You can even provide instructions or login details for 3rd party apps by entering some text under "Display Message" when creating/modifying your inline iframe link.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Guys!

To really make this function work it should literally be a part of CMSB. One of CMSB's power features is building pages on the fly as the user/owner changes the site. The sitemap generator function needs to be able to update the sitemaps just as quickly as the pages are built and actually change the file on the domain. (set as a daily or bi-daily cron job so it's not always hammering the server). If it runs only when someone decides they want to run it, then that defeats a major part of the purpose of having this function built in. Without such a function, an administrator has to use a third party to create the sitemaps and then ftp/upload the sitemaps to the site. Having it built in to the system is what's needed so the whole process is done seamlessly and regularly. For most CMSB sites, CMSB already builds all the pages so it's a natural fit. CMSB is already on the server and has access to depositing the sitemaps right into the root directory.
