Hi,

I am also undergoing a host change and done tonnes of research. I haven't made the switch yet but I have narrowed it down to 1.

They are UK based but also have USA servers, you can choose. Check it out for yourself.

Thanks,Zaba,

I'll check them out as well.

What particularly sent them to the top of your list?

Well,

I usually do a lot of reading of reviews, mainly the bad ones, and seeing how legitimate they are. People often write bad reviews becuase they feel badly treated and often it's down to their own stupidity so I take them with a pinch of salt.

I was looking for a UK based host and I think they seemed to fit the bill.

I also talked on their chat system with them about things.

my other choice was Brixly, but they had a limit of 30 Entry Processes on their accounts, I don't know wether thats per website or per package.

Thanks Zaba,

I did all that for Greengeeks but the devil was in the details.

It was when I tried to get them to transfer my cPanel and they came up with all the limitations and hurdles.

Have you already started using them?

Hey Jerry,

When you say you need a "shared hosting solution so that each client is responsible for their own account" - do you mean where all of your clients have individual cPanel accounts under your umbrella/reseller account (if you currently have WHM, for example), or where all of your clients have their own individual hosting account with the provider itself?

Hi daniel,

Thanks for weighing in.

I prefer that my client's have Individual hosting accounts with the hosting provider itself

Many of them have been burned before, when it turned out that under various arrangements with their (former) developers, they found that they did not actually have ownership of either their domain or their hosting accounts (or both).

They are happiest when I have the account access required for maintenance, but all of their accounts are legally in their own name, under their total control, and are paid for using their own forms of payment.

Thanks,

Jerry Kornbluth

Just an update , I have a few clients with their own shared hosting packages on 20i.com now, I find the system very easy to use, the support is quick and professional. The hosting is value for money, and not experienced any downtime issues. I am very happy with them and shall be pushing other clients on to them.

Thanks Zaba,

I'll check them out.

Stay safe,

Hey Jerry,

I have a couple clients experiencing similar resource issues (tons of images...tons) that bogs down, especially on shared hosting of course. I have been experimenting with utilizing solid state drive technology (SDD) instead of the typical spinning drives we are all used to. I've been utilizing InMotion Hosting for this.  They show up high, not always top, on reviews. Since starting they were immediately striving to help me until they are comfortable with my level of expertise (or non-expertise). SDD has been REALLY fast so far, and no resource issues. It's not as cheap as GoDaddy hosting, or BlueHost, but something has to give somewhere and not being subject to resource issues has been nice. You might want to check them out..or consider SDD drive hosting from somewhere. Good luck!
