I've been using this old skool version of AM since 2005. Currently the display of five articles with summaries on the home page of my site takes up the entire width of the section of the page on which they appear, per the following code

<!--THE CENTER-COLUMN TABLE-->

<center>
<table class="tabletextinnerindex" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1">
<tr>
<td>
<span class="general_text">
<!-- template insert : $article_list$ -->
<!-- templatecell : row -->
<!--<span class="summary_breadcrumb"><a name="$art_num$">$cat_breadcrumb$</a></span><br>-->

<span class="summary_title"><a style="color:#f00; font-weight:bold" href="$detail_link$">$art_name$</a></span><br>
<span class="summary">$art_summary$</span>
<span class="summary"><a href="$detail_link$">More</a></span><br>
<span class="summary_date">$art_date$, $art_time$<br clear="all"><br></span><br>
<!-- /templatecell : row -->

<!-- templatecell : row_summary -->
<!--<span class="summary_breadcrumb"><a name="$art_num$">$cat_breadcrumb$</a></span><br>-->
<span class="summary_title">$art_name$</span><br>
<span class="summary">$art_summary$<br></span>
<span class="summary_date">$art_date$, $art_time$<br clear="all"><br></span><br>
<!-- /templatecell : row_summary -->

<!-- templatecell : row_link -->
<!--<span class="summary_breadcrumb"><a name="$art_num$">$cat_breadcrumb$</a></span><br>-->
<span class="summary_title">$art_name$</span><br>
<span class="summary">$art_summary$</span>
<span class="summary">(Read&nbsp;<a href="$detail_link$">here</a>.)</span><br>
<span class="summary_date">$art_date$, $art_time$<br clear="all"><br></span><br>
<!-- /templatecell : row_link -->

<!-- templatecell : row_ufile -->
<!--<span class="summary_breadcrumb"><a name="$art_num$">$cat_breadcrumb$</a></span><br>-->

<!-- /templatecell : row_ufile -->

<!-- templatecell : not_found -->

<!-- /templatecell : img_caption -->

<!-- templatecell : img_nocaption -->
<table border=0 cellspacing=2 cellpadding=0 width=$img_width$ align=$img_align$>

<!-- /templatecell : img_nocaption -->

</tr>
<tr>

<!--END OF CENTER-COLUMN TABLE-->

I'd like to have the article titles and summaries appear in two columns rather than one in the center section of the home page. Another way of putting that, I imagine, is: I'd like my site to be four columns instead of its present three.

My site is located at http://www.pugbus.net. It is not safe for work, nor is it safe for anyone with normal sensitivities, values, or a sense of humor. I blame it on undiagnosed Tourette Syndrome. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lectures are welcome also, but they probably will not do any good. Sixteen years' Catholic schooling surely didn't help.

Cheers,

Phil Maggitti
