Hi All,

I'm getting a bunch of error log entries relating to Spambot Protector 2.02 on PHP 7.2

_DEPRECATED: Function create_function() is deprecated
/home1/artisul0/public_html/artistsofpalmbeachcounty/cmsAdmin/plugins/spambotEmailProtector.php

Any plans to update soon?

Thanks,

Jerry Kornbluth

Hi Jerry,

That error should have been fixed in version 2.02 - could you double check that you are only running one version of the plugin and that it's the correct version? If that's the case and you're still getting the errors, could you attach that plugin file here so I can check it out myself?

Thanks,

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for looking at this.

I'm only seeing the one version and it's attached.

Hope this is an easy fix.

best,

Hi Jerry,

That looks like it might be a customized version and not the official release of 2.02. My recommendation would be to either download and update to the official version of 2.02 (https://www.interactivetools.com/plugins/spambot-email-protector/) or check out an earlier post I made on this topic for instructions on how to silence the errors: https://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum-posts.php?postNum=2242898#post2242898

Hope that helps!

Hey Daniel,

Oops, looks like I sent you an older file in the attachment. (Sorry)

Anyway, it seems that the 2 files (the one on the server and the one just downloaded from the IT plugins page) are identical according to Winmerge.

And...

I can't duplicate the error again, so at least for now it seems like the gremlin is gone.

Thanks for looking into this though.

I'll certainly let you know if it shows up again.
