Hi,

I would like to give users the ability to submit news but not go immediately to to the website without (let's say) the site's webmaster or admin signing off on them. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Thank you for your help

Hi,

Thanks for posting!

With CMS Builder, there's a "Hidden" field you can use to prevent records from displaying on the live site. In this case, you'd create a new field in the Section Editor with these details:

Field Label: Hidden
Field Name: hidden
Field Type: checkbox
Default State: Checked
Field Description: Don't display on website
Advanced Options>Field Attributes: check "Admin Only"

Depending on the type of default section you started with this field may have been created for you and might already exist in your field list. If this is the case you'll just want to modify two values ("Default State" and "Admin Only") to match what I listed above.

These settings will create a checkbox that will only be editable by an administrator. This means that all new posts to the "News" section will default to "Hidden" and will allow an administrator to un-hide each post once they've approved them.

Let me know how this works for you! [:)]
