Private Label Checklist
Private Labeling your software is just a few simple
steps. Each step is completely optional, depending
on the depth of the rebranding you want.
Read the Private Label Frequently Asked Questions for more information on Private Label, rebranding, and sublicencing.
- Replace all references to "interactivetools.com" with your company info
- Type your company info into the form below, then click
"Generate Vendor Profile."
- Paste the output of the form into your program's vconfig.dat.
- Replace all references to the program name (e.g. "Page Publisher") with your own program name
- Login to the program and change the Titlebar Text in the "Setup Options/General".
- Change the login graphic (images/login_logo.gif) to
reflect the name you want for the software.
- Customize the sublicense agreement
- Find out more about Sublicensing -
review the FAQ before sublicensing or modifying the agreement.
- A default sublicense (shown when you modify your Vendor
data) can be used as is. In most cases, no customization is
necessary.
- To futher customize your sublicense agreement,
modify the "templates/interface/_license.html" file.
As with any legal document, consult an attorney to ensure
that your changes do not break your license agreement with
interactivetools.com, and that your legal text hasn't put
your company at risk.
Note: Upgrading users will also need to
remove interactivetools.com from the "Footerbar Text" and "Help URL"
(both found in Setup Options). There may be occasional unbranded
remnants when upgrading from non-private label versions.
