4. Developer Resources
Developer Resources

Here are a couple of useful resources for web developers and designers. Email me YOUR favourite resource and I might feature it in a future newsletter.

This time I've decided to provide a list of free hosted applications that can be used to quickly add functionality to your site.

IETester
If you're reading this newsletter you probably have worked on a website or two. In that case, you know how time consuming it can be to test all of your sites in several different browsers. IETester helps speed up that process by allowing you to have the rendering and javascript engines of IE8 beta 2, IE7 IE 6 and IE5.5 on Vista and XP.

Google Tasks
Tame your task list with Google. People use Gmail to get stuff done, so Google has added a lightweight way to keep track of what you need to do and what you've already done, right from within Gmail. To access this, log into Gmail -> Settings -> Labs and select "Enable" for Tasks.

WhoIsHostingThis?
This cool little utility lets you discover which web host a website uses. Impressed with someone's uptime & speed? Find out who their host is so you can use them, too. :)

Cute PDF
Cute PDF is a useful tool that lets you create PDF files on the fly and what's best about it is it's free. It sets itself up as a printer so you just print to it and can save as PDF. Handy for when your client wants a PDF.
